Interview with Justin Brierley Host of Unbelievable Podcast

Justin Brierley will interview Dr. Sam D. Kim about his forthcoming book – A Holy Haunting – Why faith isn’t a leap, but a series of staggers from space place to another.

Spring 2023, TBA

New Haven, CT

Yale Program for Medicine, Spirituality and Religion at Yale School of Medicine.

Dr. Kim will be giving a lecture and Q&A around his new book. Exploring faith not as a leap, but a series of staggers from one space place to another. Many view faith as anecdotal, yet from an ethnographical perspective, it is an empirical fact that ancient humans, along with those who live in the modern world today, possessed or possess a lifelong longing for transcendence, meaning and purpose.

If our evolution as a species is limited only to the biological and psychological aspects of human development, then why do we continue to ask questions that move beyond where we live and with whom; questions that attempt to make sense of human existence on a higher plane of reality, such as life origins and the formation of the primordial universe; and questions that move beyond the temporal to the eternal?
